Small group training
ABOUT
Whether you are new to fitness or an experienced gym goer, we can provide the expertise & support you need to meet your goals in our small group fitness classes. We offer 3 different kinds of classes, which are designed for small groups of no more than 8 people & this allows us to help each individual improve technique & give more personalised guidance with your training.
Each session is 60 mins & will include a group warm up and cool down alongside the main full body workout of the week (WOW).
We have a mixture of morning and evening classes and you can book them on a single session basis or book several sessions in advance if you prefer to reserve your space for the slot of your choice each week.
THE PRO·FORMANCE GYM
Our private gym is fully equipped with a wide range of strength equipment and cardio machines, including an assault runner, assault bike, ski erg, row erg and spin bike.
The PRO·FORMANCE gym is in the Cambs FA building, attached to Histon FC on Bridge Road, Histon.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING HYBRID
Wednesday 6.30pm & Thursday 9.30am
Our S & C hybrid workouts have a focus on strength training, but using our cardio equipment for short periods of time at a pace to suit your experience or just to use as active recovery between strength-based exercises.
These sessions are unlike other circuit or HIIT style classes, as our aim is to make sure you understand which muscles you are training & build your mind-muscle/movement connection by teaching proper technique at a more slowed & controlled pace.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING YOUTH
Monday 3.30pm
Our S & C Youth Sessions are for teens aged 15-18 who may be looking to get into strength training or join a gym, but would like some more guidance on how to train with proper technique and how to create training plans that are effective for their own unique health & fitness goals.
Each session will cover a selection of strength-based exercises and will work like a small group personal training session.
The classes will be run by Caroline Collard who is DBS checked, fully qualified to work with under 18’s and has worked with local secondary Impington Village College for the past 2 years, providing S&C sessions and sports nutrition workshops to their football scholarship students. Parents are also welcome to attend and observe sessions.
HIIT HYBRID
Saturday 9am
Our HIIT Hybrid sessions focus on high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with other exercises like strength & flexibility training for a comprehensive workout that targets various fitness goals. This approach allows for a more dynamic fitness experience by incorporating both cardio and strength elements, promoting overall fitness and fat loss, whilst building muscle.
Each session will be different and include a wide range of our strength & cardio equipment.
